St Andrew's Ball - 2007 at La Turbie

ST. ANDREW’S WEEKEND 24 / 25  NOVEMBER, 2007

In spite of a conflicting event, it was satisfying to see the usual number of people from all over Europe dancing the night away to the excellent sound of The Luke Brady Scottish Dance Band, whose parents had driven them down from Dundee, and enjoying the delicious spread provided by the local participants, for which we are renowned.

As some people had travelled a long way and stayed overnight, we decided to extend the dancing to include optional workshops on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning with Ken Martlew, an experienced teacher from London, which were lively and entertaining.

The logistics of the weekend were greatly eased by the reopening of the Hotel Napoleon in La Turbie, and those who wished were also able to relax over Sunday lunch there.
